See Ya' Down The Road

Rain, Rain - Go Away

This month we have seen more rain than any other month since we've been on the road. It has rained about 26 days this month including 11 days in a row. By rain I mean hard rain 24-hours a day. Today a motorhome pulled in beside us and it was towing a 30 foot boat. We jumped up and down with joy because now we have a way out of the campground if it continues to rain.

We are often asked if it gets boring being cooped up in a motorhome. We like to take walks, ride our bikes and go sightseeing, but when it rains we spend much of the time in our motorhome. Rainy weather gives us time to catch up on reading and working on the computer. I watch sports on TV and Linda does craft and needle work and plays computer games. We have got hooked on a computer game named Boggle where letters come up and we have to make words from the letters in a small amount of time. Linda is a whiz on the keyboard as I stand behind her shouting words. She also likes for me to rub her shoulders and back as we play the game. Rainy weather also gives us time to do laundry, house cleaning and cook special meals.

We would love for every day to be 72 degrees and sunny but we realize a little rain must enter our lives and we enjoy our time together in our 358 square foot home. But we would love to see some sunshine as we head to the Gulf Coast of Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama.
