We love our new six slideout motorhome with the basement play room and the "raise-a-floor" option. It is a little short at 48 feet, but I can learn to live with that because the six slideout rooms give Linda and me nearly all the room we want. The grandchildren love to run down the basement steps and play in the video games room. We left the circumference of the basement open so the young folks can roller blade.

Now here is what I really love about this motorhome - the "raise-a-floor" option. I can press a button and the walls rise to form another floor. We had a bowling lane installed up there with a wet bar on one end. From there we take stairs up to the roof which has a hot tub with a beautiful redwood deck. A power awning covers most of the deck and the outdoor grill.

There is no way I could go back to the old four slideout motorhome we bought back in 2006. Matter of fact, I don't know how we survived in our 2000, 38-ft single slideout.

But I wish this 2012 model had more horsepower. The 850 horsepower engine bogs down on a 6% grade.
